Thick oozy mud

The mud from hell. The map descriptions mentions that after rain, some parts of the trail north of Kapunda can be hard to ride. That's an understatement. Bring a mud tyre as spare and get it on the back if there has been rain in this area. Two rear derailleurs were destroyed on mud riding days and we only had one spare... At one stage, while pushing up a hill of this stuff, Maslen had to unload all his gear, and drag the bike sideways up the hill.

Evil mud. Be prepared as it was a show stopper for us.
